Who doesn't fancy a set of Jolie pout? Me, you and basically every female being on the planet(except for those who are blessed with the perfect pout).Which is why most women resort to unhealthy ways to plump up lips.I'm not against any of those but I have a super quick (not to mention free) trick to plum your lips.So let's get started.
Step 1:
Take less than half a pea sized blob of your regular toothpaste and massage your lips with it for 20 seconds.Let it stay on the lips for another 10 seconds.
Step 2:
Next take a damp baby toothbrush and gently start exfoliating your lips using light circular motion.Your lips should start tingling slightly which means the trick is working.Take a damp washcloth and wipe off the paste.
Step 3:
Follow up with a moisturizing lip balm applied generously all over your lips.I personally prefer using a peppermint lip balm which adds to the tingle. This should suffice to get your lips all plumped up but if you are looking for more plumping action then you can skip this step and proceed to the next.
Step 4:
Mix a half a pinch of chilli powder and half a pinch cinnamon powder to 1/2 a tsp of Vaseline(plain not scented) and apply on your lips.If you are allergic to any of the ingredients please skip this step and always test out a small amount first before applying.Let it stay for as long as you can tolerate it and then wipe off using a damp washcloth.Follow up with a moisturizing lip balm and you are done!
Dry exfoliated lips always look thinner so exfoliate as many times as possible and always keep your lips moisturized. For a quick homemade lip scrub mix 1/2 a tsp sugar with 1/2 tsp olive oil (or Vaseline) and scrub your lips with it.You can add honey for added moisture.
If you have thin lips stay away from matte lipsticks.Instead opt for shimmery lip colours in a moisturizing base.Lip glosses work best if you have thin lips. You could easily cheat using a nude lip liner to enhance the shape of your lips.
I hope you enjoyed reading the post, comment and let me know!

ReplyDeleteLove the tips, scared a tiny bit by the chilli powder but on emergency dry lip days, il try that one out too, thanks! :)
ReplyDelete@Keerhi:The chilli does sound crazy but it works but be really careful while using it.A milder alternative would be peppermint essential oil.
ReplyDeletethank you! im going to try this out, but i definately agree in the lip scrub, i make it weekly and i love it!
